NATIONAL CADET LEAGUE 2018 - 2019

NCL at Waterside TTC

This year 20 teams have entered the NCL at Waterside and have been arranged into 3 divisions. The 1st division contains 8 teams, the 2nd and 3rd divisions contain 6 teams each. The 2nd and 3rd division teams play all the other teams in their division each NCL event, whereas in the first division it takes 2 NCL events to play all the other teams in the division.

After the first NCL event one team will be promoted from division 3 to 2 and one team will be relegated from division 2 to 3.

After the second NCL event one team will be promoted & another relegated between divisions 2 & 3, and there will be 2 teams promoted and 2 teams relegated between divisions 1 & 2.

There are no relegation or promotions between the 3rd and 4th (last) NCL event. The scores of the 3rd and 4th events are combined to give the final results.

All match sheets are sent to Table Tennis England, who calculate each players' ranking points.

However, the main purpose of the competition is to have fun, playing table tennis.
